The estate
An exceptional terroir and a vineyard on the move
Despite its modest size, Château la Fleur-Pourret boasts a variety of soils, essentially marked by the limestone of the plateau.
The vineyards of Château La Fleur-Pourret are planted on clay-limestone soils typical of the Saint-Émilion appellation. This composition favors good water retention while ensuring efficient drainage, allowing the vines to draw essential nutrients and hydrate deeply.
Located close to the medieval town of Saint-Émilion, the vineyard benefits from a microclimate favorable to optimal ripening of the grapes.
The exposure of the plots and the diversity of the soils contribute to the complexity and balance of the wines produced.
A restructuring campaign was undertaken by the Château-Figeac team, and more than half the vineyard has now been renewed.
A scrupulous choice of rootstocks and clones has enabled La Fleur Pourret to recover the finesse and identity of its terroir.
We find here the two emblematic grape varieties of Saint-Emilion: Merlot and Cabernet Franc – with a high proportion (40%) of the latter. This terroir, combining clay-limestone soils, adapted grape varieties and ideal climatic conditions, gives Château La Fleur-Pourret wines their distinctive character and renowned elegance.

Respectful and committed winemaking
Our team practises integrated viticulture with bio-control, respecting the terroir and the identity of the site, and paying constant attention to each vine and to working the soil.
Vinification is carried out using traditional methods, in both concrete and stainless steel vats.
In the cellar, our wines are aged for between 12 and 13 months, with 70% one-wine barrels and 30% new barrels, all made from certified French oak from sustainably managed forests.
The quality of our wines is guaranteed by the judicious choices made by a team motivated by excellence.
